Solutioma strengthens its commitment at the Slope Stability Symposium

Last July, Solutioma actively participated in the 2025 Slope Stability Symposium, held in Bilbao at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU).
This event, a national and international benchmark, promotes knowledge and innovation in the management and prevention of geotechnical hazards.

The Slope Stability Symposium is the forum where public authorities, companies, and experts share real experiences in slope stabilization, infrastructure maintenance, and geotechnical emergency management.

Solutioma, present at the key sessions of the Slope Stability Symposium

Jordi Dalmau Vilimelis, General Manager of Solutioma and President of AEEET, moderated the panel discussion on the economic and social impact of slope management.
Participants included representatives from the Government of La Rioja, the Government of Aragón, ADIF, and the Ministry of Transport.

He also contributed to organizing the session on geotechnical asset management and geological risk, a key forum for discussing the need for preventive strategies and stable contracting models.

Both sessions highlighted the importance of moving towards collaborative and planned approaches to slope management.

The Slope Stability Symposium as a platform for sharing technical knowledge

In the special session organized by AEEET, Solutioma presented three key contributions, drawn from its experience in real projects and maintenance contracts:

🔹 Carmelo Asensio, Technical Director, presented an analysis on the management of geotechnical asset maintenance contracts on roads, in collaboration with the Generalitat of Catalonia.

🔗 An initial insight into the results achieved in geotechnical asset maintenance contracts on road

🔹 Daniel Bautista Benítez presented the challenges of coordinated management in geotechnical emergencies on volcanic terrain, highlighting success cases in the Canary Islands.

  • During the event, Solutioma had its own stand, where we showcased projects, shared innovative solutions, and built synergies with other professionals and public authorities.

  • We firmly believe that slope management must be approached with a strategic, collaborative vision, focused on infrastructure safety and resilience.

  • The Slope Stability Symposium has been a unique and inspiring opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to continuous improvement and safety in geotechnically challenging environments.

  • See you at the next edition, working together for a safer, more professional sector, better prepared to face ground-related challenges.

Thank you to the organizers and all participants of the Slope Stability Symposium

We would like to thank UPV/EHU, UPC, and CIMNE, as well as all the organizers, for the impeccable management of the event.

See you at the next edition, working together for a safer, more professional sector, better prepared to face ground-related challenges.
