Three-dimensional geogrid

Geogrid is a three-dimensional polymer matrix which is embedded in the terrain to promote the retention of fine soil matter and prevent washout caused by wind and rain. It also improves the consolidation of the topsoil, which reduces the formation of rills and erosion gullies as a result of surface water runoff. Geogrid also encourages the rapid and even growth of vegetation, which makes the slope even more stable as it helps prevent surface erosion.

Like organic blankets, geogrid is also used in conjunction with hydroseeding and slope stabilization systems such as mesh or reinforced mesh, thereby consolidating the stabilization solution and improving its tensile strength, which prevents the geogrid from rupturing as a result of the spot accumulations of materials.
